The CavaPooChon is a sweet, fluffy tri-mix breed that combines the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Poodle, and Bichon Frise. Known for their adorable “teddy bear” look, affectionate nature, and low-shedding coat, CavaPooChons make wonderful companions for families, seniors, and first-time pet owners.
CavaPooChons are often called “the forever puppy” because their cute, cuddly appearance stays puppy-like even as adults!
The CavaPooChon was intentionally bred to combine the best traits of three beloved companion breeds. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel contributes its gentle, affectionate personality. The Poodle adds intelligence and a hypoallergenic coat, while the Bichon Frise brings playfulness and charm. This three-way hybrid was developed to create an ideal family dog—one that is smart, cuddly, hypoallergenic, and consistently friendly. In recent years, the CavaPooChon has grown in popularity thanks to its adorable appearance and loving temperament.
CavaPooChons are known for being affectionate, cheerful, and incredibly friendly. They love spending time with their families and do well in homes with children and other pets. With a mix of three gentle and social breeds, CavaPooChons rarely meet a stranger—everyone is a friend in their eyes! Their temperament is often described as loving, playful, outgoing, and easy to train. They enjoy cuddles as much as playtime, making them well-suited for both active and relaxed households.
CavaPooChons are adored for their fluffy, teddy bear-like faces, round eyes, and soft, curly or wavy coats. Their coat colors vary and may include cream, apricot, white, tan, red, or blends of these shades. Depending on genetics, they may inherit more curl from the Poodle or softness from the Bichon or Cavalier. Regular brushing helps maintain their silky coat and prevents matting. Their small size and adorable looks make them one of the most photo-worthy designer breeds.
A balanced diet suited to their age and size helps CavaPooChons stay healthy and energetic. Puppies benefit from two to three small meals per day, while adults typically do well on two meals. Moderate daily exercise—such as short walks, play sessions, or light games—is perfect for this small, active breed. Grooming routines include brushing several times a week, occasional bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and dental care. Their intelligence makes training enjoyable and effective when using positive reinforcement.
